if you were thinking it was a VAM-44 I can tell you it isn't because it would have to have a long nock to be a VAM-44 which your coin doesn't have

the first photo is the reverse of my nock, the second is the reverse photo of the VAM 44 nock from the top 100 VAM page. They look almost exact.

Compare the eagle legs on the VAM-44 reverse--yours seems different to my eyes.

yes the 44 and 33 share a Reverse and have doubled legs the one in the picture do not share. I couldn't see the long nock in the first picture but the second one I do see it but still not a 44 in my opinion

I agree that the legs are not double! However, there is no denial that the leaves are doubled around the cotton blossoms, it does have the same nock. I wonder about this, is has doubled stars on the obverse too. hmmmm!

the Obverse is unique to the 44 but the Reverse is shared with the 33. I don't have time to look at everything this morning to see if I can help you on this one but if no one else does by the time I get back this afternoon I will try

Kinda looks like VAM-84 to me. What's the D in DOLLAR look like?

Yup, VAM 84. Keep looking Neal. The keys are: Reverse - long nock, attached olive leaf, no feathers showing underneath 7 feathers and the D in dollar. Obverse - Light die scratch under first 8 in date, and over-polished L in Liberty and wheat leaf at top of phygian cap. Whenever I see that over-polished leaf, I'm 99% sure of a VAM 84/84A with that reverse.

The 84/84A's are fairly common. There's not a significant premium for the variety.
