Have found three recently. A 1950, 1953 and 1956 all Denver mints. Added my 1953 to Metalman's thread "1953-D RPM". Will post the 1950 after this one. Have not attributed these, Guess I should before putting away.

I've often wondered what happened to the six at the bottom of the loop, too many like yours.

Rockdude, you are right, see a lot of theses, too. I think that if you chip the hubbing die which is a positive image like the coin, you would get this result. So, that is my guess, that the hubbing die was chipped. Final answer. Maybe Coop, Bill or Chuck will help with this one.

The LDS one shows more die wear. But still a nice find. Check to see if any markers match?

I find it quite incredible when a photo like Jim's lines up so clearly with the one you've linked coop. Leaves no doubt about it; that's the one!
