March 4-7. This is always one of the best shows - there will be hundreds of tables with most major dealers and all 3 major TPG's represented. If you're going to make one show during the year, this is the one.

From what I've seen on TV about the weather, not sure there will be a Baltimore at all. For me though large shows are too expensive. Usually pay to park, pay to get in, coin prices are over inflated, dealers you don't know so there is no ability of getting a I know you discount. Still a good chance to see a larger variety of coins.

Depends on if we are dug out by then.. My son would probably really love to go, too, though... so maybe. Got the details, SD?

I went to the Philly show and I have to say I wouldn't go to any other type other than the nationals. Every dealer that was there was cordial and professional and not one gave me the feeling that they were there to pull one over on you. If I were a little bit closer I would go. From New York City to Baltimore is about 4.5 hours.

Quote: Got the details, SD? http://www.whitmanexpo.com/contentP...ore.aspx?x=2Free admission, for starters. I usually ride Greyhound down - same time spent as driving, and somebody else gets to worry about traffic and parking costs. The venue is walking distance from the bus station, at least for me - about a mile and a quarter past M&T Bank Stadium and Camden Yards. I go to drool over the high-end coins, not to buy. As just carl mentions, pricing will likely be at a level where you really need to know your stuff going in. It's more about putting faces to names and seeing what an MS67 Morgan looks like in your hand.

I'll be going, I just like to look around maybe buy something small. I live about 5 minutes from the convention center. All the snow should be gone by then. As I reply to this topic I look out my window at about 3 feet of snow. I've been shoveling for the last six days.

I would love to go to this show if only to look (it seems I have been doing more looking than buying lately anyway). It is a somewhat doable trip for me. It is only an eight hour drive and I do have friends in the Baltimore area that I could stay with.

I'm going with my 8yo daughter. She loves it. They have programs and free coins and materials for children. I think it is for 6-12 yo's. We have gotton to know many of the dealers over the past few years. There are many dealers that have inexpensive but interesting items for sale. I have gone with less than $20 and come away very happy.

Just got back from Long Beach,CA Coin Expo. Great show but have always wanted to make this one! Living in California and working on these days makes it tough. Some day :-( Quote: I'm going with my 8yo daughter. She loves it. They have programs and free coins and materials for children. I think it is for 6-12 yo's.
