If I'm not mistaken, the double eagle is supposed to be silver plated and 'ol Ronnie and the Eagles are supposed to be layered in 24KT gold. Must have been somebodies pocket piece for awhile. Wonder how much he would be asking for if it were mint?

I can't stop laughing! He should have thrown in a 2010 Lincoln Dime as an extra bonus. Salling, cheks, sayd. What blows me away is that this idiot spells everything else correctly! BTW, I contacted this guy and offered him 5 bucks for the RR Commem (Ooops, Double Eagle) and $15 for the damaged Morgan. Lets see what his response is.  swcoin.ecrater.com

LOL - incredible. I'd almost lead him on and ask him what the serial number on his Double Eagle is. Tell him he should be able to find it with a high powered magnifying glass, and that if its under 100 then his is platinum and worth double or triple what he is asking because those were hand issued by Reagan himself.
Just have some fun with it. LOL

I see ads like this on craigslist all the time. In my area right now there is an 1880 Morgan that is VF or less for $500. Another ad is for WWII stamps still on the original envelopes as mailed in the early 40's for $1000.

I emailed him and told him that with about 3 mins of looking I found 11 of the Reagans on the web for $10.00 or less a piece. His reply
"LUCKY YOU!, You can sell them for a lot more"
