Have been looking at this for an hour under the scope and comparing with Chuck's and other websites and cannot ID. Maybe just to worn but I would think that I could find some of the more obvious die markers and can find none. I want to believe it is a LDS 004 but am now talking myself out of it. Any thoughts on what it is would be greatly appreciated.

Jim:

Post pics of the Reverse, especially by the UN of United- there are specific die gouges/etc by these letters that will help tremendously in determining if this is the 004.

Here is the 004 from coppercoins- check the die markers on the reverse!

Hope you got one!

Oops!- I re-read your post and see you already did check it with Chuck's site.

That die marker by the N is considered a KEY marker for verification on the 004- if its not there, its probably not the 004.

I had one similar to it also, and was hoping it was a 004. but it had no reverse die markers and it ended up being the 007.

Did you check the 007?

Looks like a normal coin to me. You are correct on the LDS die state though. The heavy die flow along the devices make it appear it is something when it isn't. Sorry.
