Looks like a G04 or G06 and likely was cleaned up at some point.

It's still a nice find.

Agree on grade and cleaning. We use to do this to coins as kids. Take an eraser and rub like he.....ck and viola, a red coin.

As a fun experiment, retone this coin. Put it in a window sill for a year or so and flip often, rub it between your fingers periodically too. I have an old mint envelope from 1960 that I put coins in on the window sill. They start browning after a couple months under my conditions.
