I believe this is an F15.

Opinions and thoughts are appreciated.

Thanks.

To say you did well would be an understatement. Agree with the grade and am green with envy.

$12.00? That's a bargain to be sure!

I'd call that VF-20 and it's got nice eye appeal. Where does one buy such a coin for $12 (except in a time machine)?

$12.00 is ridiculous, thats VF-35 easy, lock for EF-40 based on overall detail in drapery/eagle, but if liberty is that weak it might get a bump down to VF-35 or VF-30 at absolute worst. Barring any major problems, congrats on your $150+ coin!

Thanks all for input... Per 2010 RedBook, thought this coin was on the cusp between an F15 & VF20, based on the book's guidance on "LIBERTY".

Surprised to hear some folks grade it higher... Guidance as to why higher would be most appreciated!

Higher because 'LIBERTY' should not be the only consideration. Overall detail definitely needs to be considered too. Sometimes it can be weak on higher grade coins.

I agree EF40 is a possibility. Choice very fine at a minimum. A $200 coin easily and for $12 it's hard to go wrong on a nice Liberty Seated half dollar!
