Poll Question
I thought the design the mint decided to put on the 2010 1cent was not half bad but I wanted to know the thoughts of other numismatists.

Poll Choices
 The design is astonishing!
 Pretty good...
 Neutral.
 I don't like it.
 The design is horrible!!

I was the first to vote, I chose neutral. I think it would look better if the banner across the shield read United States oF America and ONE CENT was at the top.

john1 that is the reason I picked neutral because of the banner. I like the shield.

I like it very much,The reverse design is in line with the time that Lincoln was in office as President during the Civil War.

I think it's a great design, something different to look at.

Early on, I was "around neutral"......but now I'm generally on the "like it much" side.

Let's just hope they keep this design for 50 years and don't get "change design happy".

It's ok but I think the designers initials are too large. That's what doomed the VDB on the first Lincoln Cent. People complained about it.

I could not go to "astonishing" but I would go above my vote of "pretty good" but those were the categories! It is an excellent replacement reverse with a classic look and appeal!

I like the new design and went with the "Pretty Good" ... I do wish they had placed the scrolled "One Cent" a little higher on the shield ... for some reason, with the scroll near the bottom the design looks a little out of balance.

I voted pretty good. I like it better than the other two Lincoln designs. That might be a good poll for someone to put up...Wheat vs Memorial Vs Shield.

Doing some genealogy research, it turns out that I am related to Leonard Swett, a close personal friend and advisor of Lincoln for many years. Kind of makes me want to start collecting Lincoln Cents now. Hmmmm...

I voted "pretty good". I got my first look at an actual coin today, and picked up a couple. Funny thing is, I live in Western PA. My local flea market guy had D's, but hasn't got any P's yet.
