A trio of 73S Silver Proof Ikes recently purchased (seller photos). Anytime I find them for less than $15 I grab them up. One of these days I need to check all my Ikes for varieties.

Nice score ratman4762 I haven't been able to find one for under $23 for several months. The 73s silver proof is one of three I need to complete my Dansco 8176.

Thanks Tootallious. Paid $25 for the top pair & $13.50 for the one in the box. I used to flip them quick for $25 on ebay (usually in lots of 4 or 5). Money isn't tight like it used to be so I'm saving them.

The Ike is easily one of my favorite series - but every time I see a brownie I just want to crack it open and set that coin free. Same thing with GSA CC dollars - I have one and just want to let it out. Am I alone here or do other Ike lovers feel the same?

If you want to complete a Dansco 8176 album your going to have to set them free typically I would not but I wanted all 32 coins to be uncirculated. I didn't want to purchase coins that someone else had already removed from their plastic tomb's.

I'm happy with the one in my Dansco (It's a pegleg). I've never set anything free. Basically, it can't be undone. So, I can leave it as is and do it tomorrow if I want too.....

I don't have a new Ike for this post, but I wanted to share with you guys something pretty neat. The PCGS main page has a new banner ad showing their new Apollo label for the upcoming 50th Anniversary Apollo coins, and they used my 1976-S MS68 Ike as a model coin, along with the new Apollo silver dollar. My Ike isn't even the plate coin in Coin Facts, so I hope this means that they really liked it. Anyway, I thought it was pretty cool. Here's my Ike in its real holder.

Wow! That's pretty amazing Darth! Shouldn't PCGS give you royalties or somthing fo using your coin? Just a thought @Earle42, that's a great job on that meme
