My Eise nhower Dollar slab journey started seven years ago when I bought an NGC 1972-S 40% MS-67 and a PCGS 1976-S 40% MS-66 from Bobby. I was going to build a mixed set, but eventually settled on PCGS. So, my PCGS Ike set has 48 coins. They are kept in a Lighthouse box that holds 50 slabs (two rows of 25). The four end slots (two on each end) are a little bit wider, so a PCGS slab wiggles a bit. I put my only two NGC Ikes in the first two slots (the one from Bobby and a 1971-S 40% MS-65 I got from scopru as a gift). Why am I telling you this? Because I wanted something to put in those last two end slots. I was looking for an NGC pair to balance it out. Since I already had two of the four "Blue Ikes" in NGC slabs, why not complete the quartet? I was watching a handful of them on ebay when a seller sent an offer to get a pair right in the middle at MS-66...
