Howdy:

Which TPG(s) would you knowledgeable Ike folks suggest for submitting Ikes to?

- Jim

P.S. I would search this thread for this but the search engine for Coin Community is rather limited.

Sadly the version of Internet Explorer I'm using had serious problems with the printable version of the "Post an Ike" thread. It was so bad the actual "Post an Ike" thread in another tab was messed up as well!

- Jim
Happy with the Ike thread anyway.

Next option, use the "Google Custom Forum Search" near the top of the forum search page.

Put the post topic "Post An Ike ( Eisenhower dollar)" with your additional search terms.

It should at least get you to the right page of 57.

oih82w8,

All I can say is Whoa Beautiful Coin
Very Nice selection for a 7070 representative.

JimHSoars,
I have heard that for Eisenhower Varieties that ANACS is the place. They will attribute the different varieties.
For general grading and highest amount of monetary gain from the label on the holder then it would be PCGS right now. They just came on board with attributing the 1971 D FEV. and their grading seems to be fairly consistent at times. But I have seen coins in their holders that have no business having the grade on them that they do. And that goes both ways.
Example: MS65 coins in MS67 Holders and MS67 Coins in MS 64 and 65 Holders.
JUST MY PERSONAL OPINION,
I have seen guys get a coin back and after cracking it out and resubmitting the coin because they did not agree with the grade they received, end up getting different grades re-submitting the same coin.

Can anyone tell me what version 72 Ike this is? It looks to me like a type 3 with PMD.

Thanks!

Ever try firefox ... even if temporarily? Sometimes when I have a glitch from this site I just fire up a different browser.

I didn't take any pics or sort through them yet but I got lucky at the bank today, I always ask for large dollars when I'm there and they never have any, well today they had 20 Ikes! I grabbed them all, I'm sure nothing rare or AU quality but was happy to get them.

I'm putting together BU rolls of 1976 Type 1s and I found this very nice polished planchet 1976 D. Looks like it could even be a proof planchet rejected by San Francisco and shipped to Denver.
