If the seller is really Rare Coin Wholesalers, that's pretty smart. I'm sure they aren't expecting to sell it on ebay, but to generate interest in their coins.

He has it listed at $29K above book value. Beautiful coin though.

Wonder if the grader at NGC was a bit shaky while grading that? I would have been.

Zero feedback, and he's selling an MS-64 1893-S Morgan

I'm getting a headache just thinking about it!

Now, he may be an upstanding brick & mortar dealer, but I would insist
on flying to Irvine CA, to inspect it in person before I made a bid.

Any potential buyer should do just that, because this coin is going
for house money. Nice house money, at that. You could buy some
really nice properties for $385K cash now that the Jumbo Mortgage
market (above $417K) has imploded (in many locations).

If he got a serious cash offer for book value, he might take it!

Rare Coin Wholesalers handle the very top of the line coins. Coins that I could only dream about owning.

I didn't know that he was selling under that User ID....
(which is new and has zero feedback).

The name "Rare Coin Wholesalers" sounded very familiar indeed,
but since it has a brand-new User ID, I was 'wondering' if something
happened, like a change of ownership.
(wouldn't some other buyers be a little curious, for that kind of coin and purchase price?)

I'd still fly out and inspect it in person if I was a potential buyer, as I said.

There's a few 1893-S'es in my neck of the woods, AG-3 to VF-20,
and those are more 'car money' and you can see them right from the dealer's cases....

Check out his website. His coins will blow you away or better yet, take a trip to the next Long Beach Coin Expo and see them in person. His "upper end" coins are tailored toward high end investors or very wealthy collectors. His "low end" inventory starts at around $2500.00.
