So, he doesn't have time to bust open the rolls and search them, but he does have time to "spice" the ends of his rolls with coins he's bought elsewhere? Quote:I have numerous Shotgun Rolls of Wheat Pennies with Mercury dimes, Barber dimes and/or Indian cents on the ends... These coins have not been opened or searched thru by me. This sort of thing always makes my head spin... if they haven't opened them or searched through them, how do they know that everything else in the roll is "wheat pennies"?!?
Don't say "infinitely" when you mean "very"; otherwise, you'll have no word left when you want to talk about something really infinite. - C. S. Lewis

I have the same question? I think it's pretty much a given that a lot of roll sellers do this sort of thing. That's why I stay away from buying rolls on e-bay.

Wow! I didnt realize that folks could pull up bid history by ebay name. I tested it out with a few sellers whose items I'm actively watching. Very creepy in my opinion! A nefarious seller could not only have a buyer's address from a purchase they made from them, but also have a recent accounting of the items that they may have won [and may have in their possession].

Is it? Really? I don't find it amazing at all. What's more is that these scammers claim most of these to be "original" wrapped rolls. You've got to be kidding me

Pity the poor uninformed ebay buyer swimming in shark/seller infested waters.

Pity more the poor ebay seller who doesn't know enough to buy and sell under different usernames. They get famous here.

I could be wrong but the details in the first Indian Head cent looks sharper than the one in the roll. Sincerely, John Leckrone

They get famous here I was getting ready to make a comment about the same thing. most knowledgeable ebay sellers buy under one account and sell under another so its a little harder to track them down like this. I used to buy with one and sell with another also but it was only to make sure my seller ebay name would stay 100% even if I had a problem with any ebay seller and they retaliated feedback
