Gothic, does it make you happy when you find Canadian? I hate it, I don't collect them and I feel like it's money being taken from me.

I find a lot of canadians, maybe 20 in a box on average. I've found 60-70 silver ones the last few years, including a 1900 Victoria. I get the same thrill finding a merc as I do a silver canadian.

I rarely get Canadian, but did score a 40% (i think) silver canadian a while back, so I was okay with that. My last $150 gave me nothing...gotta wait 'till payday on Wednesday to buy some more dimes for more searching, I can't wait!
Also, where do you guys get CWR's? Both my banks don't take CWR's, so they have none to give out...just wondering.

Corey, I had to "shop around" to find my cwr's. I have several banks that take in larger amounts of rolled coin from merchants in the area. They normally ship this excess amount with their courier service. Several agreed a few years ago to let me buy these xtra rolls which normally amount to about $1k every other week. I'm really cutting back or giving up completely as the finds have fallen off, I believe the tellers are pulling the silver dimes. My wife also works for a credit union, and they block all the silver before it goes out. One gal scored a dozen or more Morgan dollars that way.

$100 gave me nothing, but I didn't look through it very carefully so I'll double check in a day or two. I'm 3 for $325 so I'm still at about 1 per $105.

I'm at 1 silver for every $200. Silver really dried up in my area, my average used to be twice as much.

Nice finds everybody! I agree with fistfullofdirt and murrellington. I just started roll hunting last summer and my silver finds have dropped way off already. Now I just pick up a box when its convenient. I hope its just a temporary lull but I dont know. I keep telling myself-they made millions and millions of them.
