I searched $70 in String Dimes and found no silver dimes at all, I'm going to try again with $200 in dimes and hopefully I'll get an eyegasm! :D What are your experiences with the string rolls and the clear brink rolls? Please let me know! :)

I went through two boxes of brinks dimes last night.
Box #1 - 2 1964-P, 1 1964-D Box #2 - 1 1947-P
I was surprised to find three silver dimes in one box. Never had that happen to me before. It definitely made up for the fact that I got skunked on my box of halves.

Bbrad, you didnt say whether your insurance covered all your losses. I hope so for your sake, if not I couldn't see you ever getting even again with silver.

Thanks a million for your reply, monks :D I decided to stop BOA to grab $130 of dimes and $70 in half dollars and got 0, nada silver, I don't have a car and have to do this by bus and backpack so its kinda discouraging really lol, but I won't give up! Even if I don't find any daddy silvers in there I'm positive that baby silvers will show up lol (dimes) :D.

Respect to silverdollar for having the heart to coin roll hunt while stuck lugging them around the bus.

okay, I'm back, I bought $170 in dimes ($50 String and $120 in Brinks) and $30 in halves, anddddd no silver was found :(. I only managed to find a 2006 NIFC which I'm sure going to keep haha, so much work for nothing! Well, I'm gonna return to studying calculus and being hopeful for the future LOL! Thanks for letting me share! :) Just FYI, my mother used to buy me $50 of Brinks Dimes several months ago. I'd average 1-2 per $50, I'd even see Canadian Dimes that would try to fool me. But no Canadians in this batch that I just bought lol So this is very disappointing for me, but I ain't gunna give up! :D

Sadly no, my car is a 2000 Toyota so I only have liability insurance so the worthless piece of waste that robbed me cost me over $2,200 in a two week period. I did pick up a box of halves today and searched it while sitting in my car in the bank parking lot and then went straight to my dump bank and poured then into the coin counter.

Occum's razor - the easiest answer is normally the most likely answer. To the CCF'er that had coins stolen, the most likely culprit is someone in the tire shop. They had access to your coins. I would call the police and alert management there.

My luck with Brink's dimes has been about 1 silver per $1,500 searched, as apposed to 1 per $150 searched String wrapped dimes.

So I'm not sure if you would call this roll searching or not since I'm just looking at the rolls from the tills I run at work... but I found another silver dime! A 1955s this time :-) It's not in the best quality, it is quite worn around the edge but a cool find none the less. I'm shocked that I found two in one week.

Tiggeray2000! I'm jealous that you get to look through change all day. I'm interested in seeing how well you do in the future with finding silver.

I searched my sixth Brinks box of dimes today and have gotten skunked on every one of them. I have real good luck with CWR;s but they are difficult to get in large quantity. I found a bank that has string & sons rolls so I am going to try a box and see what happens
