I was just finishing off the last of my nickels...dreading the 20 rolls of dimes. I have never searched dimes before, I stole a peek into the bag of rolls, grabbed one out and busted it open... I got a 1960! Now I want to open the rest... But its Moms day and I am the mom, the kids are taking me out! I wanna stay home and play with my money! Happy Moms Day Ladies!

i think I'm done searching dimes. I just dumped dimes and realized that I lose about $5 from the coin counter every $500 dumped. It counts about 50 dimes as cents. I search dimes for silver, not to make money but because it is a fun search and I love finding and saving silver. But it's costing me $5 every 2 boxes and I don't know how I feel about that. I think i'll stick to nickels. And if I want silver I can try half dollars. I can bring them back to the bank in deposit bags and they charge $5 a bag. I will get more silver that way for the same price.
Have fun searching guys! They really need to eliminate the cent so we can get 10 cents for all of our dimes! lol.

Murr, happens to me also. It's not a problem. The tellers know that I'm dumping dimes only, I take the receipt up, it shows dimes counted as cents. I get reimbursed for the difference.

Maybe I could try that. But this time I happened to dump cents as well. I just know I dumped $500 worth of dimes. I took out maybe 2 dimes that were silver. It showed $495 in dimes :/

Just an update here that my last two boxes of dimes were skunks.
Time to try some from a First Citizen or the like. I have found they use the paper wrapped ones leading me to believe they do not use Brinks.

I just found a 1968 canadian dime in a roll and I see online here that in '68 there were some that were Nickel and some 50% silver. This one seems to be silver.. It looks white and sounds like silver. Is this a common coin to find in rolls?
