Murr, that counter needs calibration. This must be brough to the bank's attention. Do you get a receipt from the counter? That loss is almost 2 silver dimes worth.

I would have said something but I figured I wont be searching for quite a while. But next time I go I think i'll do $750 in dimes and see how many are counted as pennies. then i'll definitely show them I only dumped dimes.

Assuming that the coin counter counts dimes as pennies, won't there be dimes in the penny bag(s)? If so, I think I will see if my Girlfriend's CU will sell me the bags of pennies? The bags hold $50 in pennies. Following murrellington's past $500 dump, where 37 dimes got counted as pennies, a bag of pennies could hold $3.33 (37*.09) in extra profit.
I have searched a few boxes of halves and not even made this small of profit before. And all I have to do is just sort the dimes from the pennies.

A bag of pennies could have even more profit. But yeah if you could buy pennies try it. people who get bags of pennies usually find a lot of dimes.

was finally able to do $50 again. won't be able to roll hunt on a regular basis due to school and stuff. Got nothing. Oh well.

Hi All,
I haven't spent much time hunting dimes lately but as I was getting nickles to look through today the teller told me she wished I collected dimes as she had tons of rolls that had accumulated. I told her I would take a hundred dollars. Turns out one of the see through plastic wrapped rolls had a 1961-D I may have to go back tomorrow and take the rest she wants to get rid of!

I haven't searched dimes for a while (about 6 months). I picked up 2 boxes yesterday Box 10Skunk Box 11(1) 1954 Rosie Here's the kicker. When I went to TD Bank to dump my dimes, there was a 1964 silver Rosie in the rejection tray!  |

Just finished another box. '64 '66 I'm happy with just one silver per box so getting two makes up for getting skunked on quarters. Also I believe I got one that was Struck Through Grease. I'll post pictures when I get a chance to get feedback on if it's an error or PMD. |
