Best day of CRHing yet!  Got a box of dimes which got me: 1 x 1941 Merc 1 x 1949 Canadian 80% The teller told me that she also had $15 of loose halves, so I decided to give them a try, which got me: 1 x 1969-D 40% 3 x 1968-D 40% 3 x 1967 40% From $265 of coins I got 1.17 troy ounces of silver  |

This week, did $90 total, and only got a 1991 Canadian dime. I was so excited when I saw that white edge, and then I took the coin out of the roll and saw the Queen's face on it.  At least it was my first Canadian dime, so that's a plus. |

Here in upstate NY I know not to get my hopes up. In fact, I can usually tell it's canadian because of the ridges. I recently sold a bag of canadian change on ebay. Got a good price oddly... there weren't even silvers in it! |

@Broseph: I'm currently in Eastern Nebraska, which is pretty far away from Canada, so seeing a Canadian coin larger than a nickel is a rarity here. 9:1 is my silver to Canadian dime ratio. Invariably, I got my hopes up, but it proved to be a lesson.

Godless, that ratio seems to be roughly the same as mine...about one per $250. I do about 1 quarter for every $1000.

Yeah, I used to get my hopes up. Study the edge, you can tell if you know what the grooves look like.

I had a box with three silvers for the first time in quite a while: 1952, 1953d, and 1963. 1952 was a hole filler so I only need 8 more to complete the set from circulation. I have a feeling I may never find another one. All eight are under 40 million minted but who knows I may get lucky: 1949, 1949d, 1949s, 1953s, 1954s, 1955, 1955d, and 1955s.

A local credit union told me they had some change in their vault.
There is over $700 worth of rolled quarters and approximately $100 worth of rolled dimes.
Hopefully, I'll be able to go this week and get the dimes. I may pick up some of the quarters,
but I doubt I'll go through the majority of them. I feel most quarters have been removed
from circulation by everyday people. For some reason, everyone seems to keep the quarters
but ignore the dimes and half dollars.
