so I always check the new rolls that come in at work for silver rims just in case I see one I will just purchase it and today I see one and get home and open it up and it turned out to be a 54 Canadian...i looked it up and it is 80%...this is the first Canadian I have pulled from a roll oddly enough turned out to be silver...not much for collecting canadian and I doubt it is worth much over melt value but o well silver is silver!

nice find. we dont get the coins in clear wrappers where I work. its kind of a good thing because I know a few of the girls in the morning who work with me that do the change orders look for silver if they open up a roll of dimes or quarters. so I would have almost no chance of finding anything.

Searched $50 of CWR with no luck. With an average of one silver per every $250, I was hoping and praying for a silver but it was just not meant to be. BTW, I think a few chapters of my CU are loaded likely loaded again with change and I plan on asking for most if it.

I skunked out on $35 today. I also found out the roll I had to leave behind the other night had 2 silvers in it when they opened it in the morning but oh well, I still got 5 silver in looking through $45 that day. if only I hadnt picked one of skunk rolls instead of it though. I could of had 7 in $45 searched.

gold, congrats. I was extremely lucky and got one after looking through 7 rolls my first silver dime. a 44p. I just about broke my jaw it hit the floor so hard when I saw what it was. I couldnt believe my eyes. I then did 9 rolls a few days later and got 5 silver roosevelts. the 7 rolls I did today had nothing of interest but with the incredible start I had I've got no right to complain and lots of optimism. I cant wait to search again asap.

Congrats on the silver Canadian. I've been lucky to find almost 100 here in Mich over the last couple years. Been hard pressed to get a little over half of melt value, even at the shows. The dealers have told me they just aren't as desirable as US 90%.

Yeah, I looked all over the internet when I found a silver canadian. Couldn't find out it's silver content so I had to do the math myself. You know people care very little when there's such a small amount of info on it on the web. Then again, you can probably ebay stuff like that. People love buying silver on ebay :P

Ya'll aren't going to believe this. I did a box last night and found a 1964 and ........1881. 1881 3 cent nickel, that is. I started a thread for it with pictures if you want to see it. I'm still pretty hyped up about it.

Awesome job finding that 3 cent nickel! I believe you're the first on the forum to find one roll hunting!

Anyway, I finally got a silver after so many weeks roll hunting. It's just a 1959-D, but still silver! My months-long dry streak is over.!
