What is your process for searching? That one I posted before was loose change. I stored it without looking on back. I will look immediately. My eyes aren't great with small so any ideas for searching would be great. Rims only? I can buy bags so just want to know.

You can edge search, a lot of folks do, but it's not 100% accurate for silver. Personally I can't stand the idea of passing on silver or an error just for the sake of going faster.

I edge roll search dimes. I get boxes and they come in clear plastic wraps. I can do a whole box in about 10 minutes and dont need to rewrap any coins.
2 boxes this week. 2 keepers.

Being an engineer, I have to collect data, and I record what I find on a spreadsheet.

I do that with pre-1960 nickels. I have an Excel spreadsheet with the number of each date and mintmark, and I use functions so it automatically updates figures such as the total number, number per decade, per year, per mint, etc.
I just got my first box of dimes, and I'm almost done with the first row. I'm starting to have second thoughts about edge searching, but I'm still looking for good ones such as the 69-70 transitional reverses.

In roll 13 I just got a 70-D with the reverse of 1968!

I finished my box. I didn't get silver, but I did get some keepers:
-1 2009-D
-1 Canadian (2012)
-8 1970-D transitional
-3 1970 transitional
All the transitional reverse coins are well worn.

pulled a couple of leap year silver dimes today. An extra day of hunting silver works for me :-)

got 23 silvers out of a box monday.2 skunk boxes tuesday and 3 out of 2 boxes tonight. I'm trying to do 2 boxes a day.been at it for 3 weeks and have 72 silvers and 3 canadian silvers.later greg
