yeah, you know it's good you have this thread going, so we can sort of gauge whether things are drying up or not.

Pulled a 1961 from this week's box which breaks my two week dry spell. Hopefully my nickel box will be good too - I've crapped out on like the last five boxes there.

I started going through a bag of dimes and so far instead of just finding like 1 penny, I have found about 10. and a button. When I'm all done with the bag, I'm going to have it counted, and see if those pennies were counted as dimes. If they were, I think I'm going to tell the bank... cause not only did they lose nine cents per penny, by giving it to the customer, but had the bag been sent off to a coin depot, they would have discovered it.
One of the pennies was cut by hand/machine to be the exact diameter of a dime.

nice work ibab...were they all CWR or some boxes? 9 silvers is quite a yield for 1000.00.

lol ibab. I love when I find pennies in my rolls of halves. Especially when the penny is not even real! Play money is EXACTLY what I'm looking for. >.<

It was a bag from the customer dump machine. After I get the count checked from another bank - I'm going to see if the bag had 10,000 dimes in it, or something else. I'll then share the results with the bank I got it from, so that they can have their machine checked out...
Last bag from them had 1 penny in it... but then again, normally their bags of pennies have 1 dime in them...
My favorite though was the button.. the bank paid ten cents for it..
