Today I got really upset with my half dollar search. 2 banks didnt have my halves for me today SOOOOOOO I hit the Dimes especially hard.

I searched $2450 worth today. It took me literally ALL day. I walked away with an amazing haul however. 24 Silver Rosys. I also got my very first Wheat penny from Dime searching, How cool is that? Looks as if the rim was filed down, its a 45 at least :/

Wow, you meant it when you said you hit dimes hard. that's like 10 boxes almost. and if my calculations are right that is about 2.44 silver rosies per box, which is a great average. nice work! and a cent with dimes seems rare, especially a wheat.
you must not edge search if it took you all day? do you look through the rolls?

by the way, have fun dumping! do you turn in bags, re-roll, or coin counters?

I am trying to fill a book from circ, although I might just give up on that and just edge search. Dumping is not going to be fun I agree, where I dump they have self service counters so I plan on dumping about 600 per branch.

Wow, I wish self service machines were more prominent in my area. there is one about 4 miles from me and the other branch is about 14 miles away. they are the only 2 I know of so I try to not abuse them and visit only every once and a while. so I don't get to search as much as I would like. if there were several self service dumping machines in my area, boy would I be a happy camper.
but it looks like you can update your tally on your homepage now that you have 24 silver dimes :)

One of my tellers forgot to order 4 boxes of halves. Since I have been on a dime skunk streak (my last 3 boxes, all Brinks, have been skunks), and because I was geared up for searching, I hit the dimes some this week.
So, I got $250 in a mix of cwr and fed rolls on Wednesday, and 3 fed boxes along with $250 of mostly Brinks and the rest CWR's ($1,250 total).
I searched the $250 from Wednesday night first and was skunked. I searched the Brinks and mixed cwr's last night first and was similarly skunked. Pretty frustrating, I was up to $1,250 without finding a silver dime.
Then, I searched a fed box and finally broke the streak, a beautiful 1942' Mercury dime along with a 64' Roosie in my first box. My third fed box had a 59' Roosie.
So, $1,250 searched yielded 3 silver. It has been hard in this area finding boxes that are not solid or almost solid 2011's. Hope that changes soon.

I have had similar bad luck with dimes. My last 3 boxes were all 2011D. Got 2 before that and only found 1 Silver in each.
A couple of months ago I was averaging 3 silver rosies per box. Been bad lately.

$500 search gave up a 53s and 40 merc. The teller at one of the banks today said they had to start charging me for boxes. Since I dont have an account there. 13 cents a roll! I'm just trading one box for another!?! Guess I'll have to cross that bank off the list.

MDJ - Open an account (free one) if that is what it takes. Bird in the hand...

I had a few more rolls from my last fed box that I searched at lunch, found a 59' Roosie. I also stopped at a little bank on the way to my dump bank and bought $125 in CWR's. Out of $100 searched so far, I have found 3 silver - a 62', 63' and 64'. So, $1375 has yielded 7 silver.
