My eyes hurt when looking at the small dates on those dimes- edge searching for me only!
I tried doing that the first few boxes and gave up as it was taking forever for me to look at the dates! More for everyone I guess!

BTW murellington, LMK when you dump at PT Clairemont- sometime I buy a dime bag there and don't want your crap dumps! =P

When you buy a bag from them where do you dump it, at the El Cajon one? And have you ever dumped down in Chula Vista? |

Amen! Every time I am like "Today I am actually going to check all the dates", I get through like 8 rolls and am like forget it. Then I edge search the rest. lol. I thoroughly search other denominations, but dimes aren't for me. |

I've never been to the other branches, I just dump at the same place (mixed with halves) and wait a week- it'll go away to Brinks.
But I seldom do it- I only got 2 rosies out of 3 bags so far and each bag is $500. I was also shorted a couple of bucks all in all with the count.
And of course my usual complaint of how small they are!

There were only a couple varieties I was looking for seriously (1982 no MM and 1996-W), and I don't collect FDR dimes, so I don't care if I find nice ones, which aren't worth anything anyway. Yeah, I'd be bummed to mis a Cud or something, but I can spend that time looking for errors and varieties on denominations I care about. I can still catch a clip and some other errors with edge searching... Though I'm always worried I'm going to pass over the double-denom that I covet. I could stop searching dimes completely, but there are a tons of Mercury dimes out there waiting to be rescued from the ravages of circulation. I just found a nice 1935 yesterday and have accumulated enough to move my CRH Mercuries to a tube, and I haven't even been searching that long. It's also my most consistent source of junk silver (silver FDR - Mercuries aren't junk!), which I hope can finance collecting other coins I like. |

1982-P no P has no P. Those aren't 82-P no P.  |

I know that they are not NO P's. But I heard that 82-P's have little value too. I talking about a few bucks. Am I wrong?

1 per box is becoming average and I'm not too excited about it. lol. By the way Roland, I will probably be dumping in clairemont tomorrow.

I think the only real value that comes with those 1982p dimes is if they are in MS or higher. Hard to find I think

 with rachums. The 1982 dime is basically worth face value. The high grade ones is where they get sold for premium. Circulated ones are just regular dimes, so there is no need to save them. |

$95 in CWR, finally getting back in to dimes! 3 silver-1954, 1963D, 1964  2-2009P 1 canadian Not bad! Amazimg silver pick up today, 26 silver coins in all including halves.-Check out the Half searching thread Now for the nickels... Oh yeah, and the 1954 was a hole filler. Edited by rachums107
