The ones in the link are described as proof condition and Bryans doesn't look proof, just thought I would point that out. John1

But don't you think they are still a little pricey? They also have a Proof 1971S Ike for $19.95. I paid $20 for five of them three months ago at a coin show. AMFCook, all I can say is this, If you really want them that bad then pull the trigger. I think you can do better else where. But that is just my opinion, and you know what folks say about opinions.

I was looking what I can get a 1963 and 1964 proof set for, $15 to $20 a set. So.. could get two complete proof sets for about the price of one of those proof halves. It may be different if you could see the coin you were buying and not just a stock photo. If it was a very high grade proof Franklin the price could be good.
And I agree with Tim Stroud $19.95 for a 1971 silver proof Ike, I paid $6 for one last week.

I always thought the standard on Franklins was 10 - 12 times the face value, or $5 - $6 per coin and not much more if in proof condition, maybe around $8.00 for a proof. Same with Kennedy's, even the 90% silver 64 releases.
I am looking for a end and beginning half set. But not the ones on that site. I've never heard of GovMint before and wondered about their credibilty especially looking at their price for the 2009 silver proof set is $79.95? Not even a year old yet, and you can still purchase that set from the US Mint for $52.95.

Gov mint is affiliated with shop at home network after the coin vault show split.
The coin vault show actually got me to dust off my morgans, etc & back into collecting by how much they sell for on the show. I thought it might be time to sell, but no their prices are inflated.
Now I watch Coin Vault just to laugh at the prices & ridiculous deals..

I have never seen anything offered by Govmint that even closely resembled a value or deal. Usually, the offerings are inflated and put out there as being more of a value than anyone in the know would give a realistic consideration.
Of course, that is my opinion!

Think of the name "GovMint". Don't you think this gives the impression that they are affiliated with the government? Of course they aren't. Just like other companies with names like "New York Mint" or "Washington Mint". These companies choose official sounding names to prey on the ignorance and gullibility of the public.
On the off chance they have an offering at a reasonable price, it is only to acquire your phone number, address, and credit card information to hard-sell you in the future.

Don't ever buy from GubMint either, they just want "mo money mo money"!
I miss that show.
