I have a 2007 Washington Dollar blank planchet. I need to know if it would be a good idea to get it graded. If so who would you recommend. Also if I was to sell this coin what would be a good price to put on it. I know there has only been a few discovered. Please let me know. Thank you very much.

Hmmmmmm ..... I've heard of other denomination blank planchets and they do not seem to have a high value.

Not sure how you would have it graded ...... since there is technically no 'coin' per say ..... don't know what any TPG could grade it on?

I'm looking forward to hearing what the experts say.

Your problem is proving that it is a Washington dollar planchet, that is almost impossible unless you send in a roll to a TPG and they pull it out. It would generally be viewed as a generic "golden dollar planchet" but those planchets are worth a bit more than other denominations.

The coin has the edge lettering on it. It's just blank on the front and the back. It has the year and everything on it.

I thought the minting process would have the collar involved when the two dies come together to prevent a coin from being broadstruck. I have never seen a reeded edge blank planchet. Perhaps the new dollars are made in a different way? I'd like to see a picture of this one.

Yeah it's blank on both sides. The only thing on the coin is the edge lettering. I will upload a pic. if someone can tell me how to do it. I got the pic. on my computer but I don't know how to get it on here.

Golden dollars go though a striking process and then they go though a process to have the edge lettering added so, it is possible to have a blank dollar coin with edge lettering. Only problem is, four presidents were minted in 2007. Still can't prove which one this one is.
