My nephew bought himself two rolls and one roll has a DDR showing he paid $3 per roll, is that a good price?. He opened the other roll hoping it had errors in it but it did not. He went back to the dealer and bought me one roll and I went through it last night. I found 27 DDR's and another 10 maybes . There seems to be five or six different examples of the DDR. He and I will try to attribute them later. I am planning to buy four more rolls from this dealer. I was also wondering if a coin on CC's site is listed at $10, how much could I realistically get for it from a dealer? I figure about half. I will update this post with what how many of each DDR we attribute if you guys want me to. Thanks all.

You're probably right on with the 50%, but why not put them up here for your friends @ 75% and give us both a deal!

Is this dealer selling doubled dies by the roll?

As far as the $3, I would guess it depends on the DDR. I would think any doubled die would be worth at least $2-3 as long as it is in good condition.

But, as always,
Rest in Peace

There are so many 2009 LP2 ddrs that the TPGs aren't even bothering to certify them(surprising because of their greed for fees.) Anyway, IMHO get what you can for them now before the market becomes saturated with them.

You won't get anything from 99.5% of the dealers in the country for any of these things because they are not listed in any major guide, especially the CDN. Dealers don't care about varieties unless they are major.

Yes and no. He is selling bank wrapped rolls, the roll I got had 27 DDR's and two rolls my nephew went through had none. I guess it's the luck of the draw.

I bought three more rolls and went through them last night. Two rolls had nothing but the third roll had 25 for sures and 5 maybes. That makes about 52 for sures and a few more maybes. Spent three hours yesterday on CC's site and Wexlers site, there is a ton of errors on these LP2's. I'm still trying to match them up. I think I have 5 or6 different ones. Is it odd to find 5 or 6 different errors in one roll?
Thanks all for looking, back to attributing.

John1: The coins you receive come a a large bin from the run of ? number of machines. They are sent to a wrapping facility and rolled. So you have coins from certain dies during a certain run. You will find a lot of duplicates of varieties sometimes if they are in that run. If not all you find a 50 Cents worth of coins per roll. The Denver ones were duds as far a variety that year. But the Philly ones were hot on the LP2 ones. The Boxed rolls from the mint (The ones with a roll of each P & D) are the most consistent to find varieties in. With the number of varieties so large, the prices in the future will be uncertain. But still a lot of fun to search for.
