I found this old medal and I have no idea how old it is or where it was from. I believe it is U.S. Military? It is marked "50" on the back, appears to be brass and measures about 1 1/4" across. If anyone could help me identify it and might have a general idea of value, that would be great. Thank you.

Olive brand and arrows. More then likely from the US but I've never seen this one before. Could we get a picture of the back just to see it?

This is a picture of the other side. Sorry about the poor picture quality. I could not find any names or markings on it. Thanks again.

It looks to me like a cast.
I would say humorous medal
for someone's 50s birthday.

It's a Watch Fob and probably gilt at time of manufacture. It has some age, probably late 19th century. Does the ring swivel?

I would agree it's a watch fob. Speculating here but the 50 may denote years of service for a retiree. Since the piece doesn't contain inscriptions or corporate ID, it may be very hard to isolate origin ... i.e., a generic offering.

I'm betting, from the design, that it is 50 years after the end of the Civil War, for a Union veteran's gathering. 1915, in other words.
