Any ideas?Looks a bit off center with what looks like a polish mark running up the edge.

Looks like a struck through error (grease) to me also. The grease prevent the devices in that area to form. Seems funny that grease can prevent that from happening. But the hydrolic jack meves heavy things with just oil. A keeper in my book. I have several so far. I don't expect to make anything on them, they are just conversation pieces.

Any ideas as to what would cause the polish lines running around the rim? They are too fine to be from anything else I think.

film of grease pushed around the field of the die. The lines are from rolling of the planchet. They are so small they don't get removed from the striking process. If you had two coins from the same die and they are in different directions, you would see them for what they are.

If you note the very thin lines that run in the direction of the arrows, they are the direction the material was rolled. They are not removed during the striking process. Not the two identical markers. They are from the same dies, the position of the rolling lines are different.

Thanks coop and others.I've seen a few of these while roll searching and this one seemed to be a better example.
