The coppercoins site lists the known ones for the Wexler, Crawford, CONECA and cherry pickers numbers of cross references. See if that helps?

Coppercoins does not have the Crawford ID listed that I'm looking for. And now that I'm home and can search the internet, I still can't find anything.

Some of the Crawford listing are in the New book from Wexler. Do you have a Wexler number for that die you are searching. Might find a match with the info.

I was trying to find a listing for a 1972 CDDO-005MD that a seller had listed. After several e-mails and 600x zoom pics that made the image even harder to identify, he e-mailed me last night and admitted that it was Machine Doubling. I ultimately appreciate his honesty with me, but it does bother me that he is clearly advertising it as a DDO.

I'm really getting sick of these people selling MD to unsuspecting people. I don't know how much I've spent on garbage falling for "doubled" coins (my fault - should've got educated first).

I just checked the Book from Wexler with the cross reference to the Crawford numbers. The CDDO-005 is the master die doubling on all three mints that is so common it is worth what is marked on the reverse. ONE CENT Here is an image of such doubling. He may have gotten wind that the coin was common and cancelled the auction.

The auction is still up. He has 50 of them for $2.50 + $2.00 shipping. After several e-mails and obscure pics, this was his last e-mail:
"I DONT THINK THESE WOULD BE WHAT YOUR LOOKING FOR. I AM SURE THAT THEY ARE MACHINE DOUBLED. SORRY FOR ANY MISUNDERSTANDING. THANKS FOR YOUR INTEREST."
