The edge and rim sure doesn't look right to me but I'm no expert on Seated dollars.

I agree the rim and edge don't look right.

It does not appear genuine, but I would use it as filler material for my 7070, until I could get the real deal. edited by my shoulder angel

That looks like it was cast instead of struck. Look at the rim on the obverse @ 9 o'clock, looks like a seam to me.

Quote: I would use it as filler material for my 7070, until I could get the real deal. not me, a counterfeit (if that is what this is deemed to be) has no place in my album. If something were to happen to me and I had a counterfeit coin in my album at the time the person who received my coins would probably not know it was counterfeit and if they decided to sell it would either think all the coins in the album were counterfeit (maybe a dealer would say since this one is probability is all of them are) or he would sell it to a unsuspecting collector. Another thing as long as I have a hole I am inclined to fill it, if I have a filler there I will be less inclined to get a replacement even though the one there is fake

Something else that sets off my alarms are the stars. They don't appear uniform and the good ole USofA tends to punch good stars.

Excellent point Bryan, I must really want to fill those hard to get holes in my 7070.

The weight outs that one as a counterfeit. Without knowing the weight, the edge reeding is a dead giveaway, since most forgers don't pay much attention to it. The devices are rather flat looking, and the rims and dentils are not correct. the surfaces appear porous. here is a real one for comparison:
