I have never seen a convext coin. The Vam-20 states con-caved. Not to ask a dumb question but here go's "concave would indicate something like a deep strike where from the rim to the relief it go's down?

check out 1878P VAM 14.4....this is a deep convexed coin,,,remember they had relief issues in 1878 which caused a lot of die breakage,,,hence the so many die marriages...1878-s says convex so it means there is a slight bowl like look when viewing from across the coin, rim to rim, not at the facing it like we take pictures...

Well it is not con caved, I just put it into a (maybe LVA submission slip) The obverse is right but the reverse has the mint mark placement problem.

I found the 1884 cc vam-10 with a dash and took it to Leroy when I saw him. The Vam-10 has a doubled reverse motto. The Vam-9 it the dash type but the reverse has a different die, one that has (no doubling) on the motto. LVA needs to see a Vam-9 to up date and add this dash. I just found a Vam-9 (dash). So having a different reverse I am sure is not unheard of.

I think I will test the waters on this one when I send in the 84 cc to him.
