Finally, I get to post a decent looking WL! Here's a 1936 ... looking for grade and thoughts ... Thanks!

I agree with AU-55. There is slight rub on Liberty's left breast and on the eagle's central breast feathers and upper left thigh. Light friction has darkened the obverse fields in the open areas. This is a nice, no-problem example of this common-date Philly Walker.

Agreed and seconded. This is the kind of coin you keep in the collection.

Slight rub. I also agree AU55. Nice original coin.

Tcmac, I'm planning a grading presentation for an upcoming meeting of our coin club and I'm thinking about a discussion of AU verses BU for US coins. I'd like to use your images to show how wear first starts to appear on Walking Liberty halves. Is is OK with you if I use your photos? They would be perfect for my topic. Thanks!

I'd say AU-53 because the rub is somewhat more significant IMO, but the luster is mostly there so AU-55 it is.
