today I was going thought a box of pennies I got from the bank. on my third to last roll I found it a 1909 vdb. I think it is in a great condition details wise. sorry for the pictures.

wow! those are rare to find! if only it had a little s RIGHT below the date!
Ive hunted at LEAST 15-20 boxes and have never found any!

I'm doing 5 boxes of pennies and a box of halves tomorrow. All I really care about in pennies are pre-1940's and steel cents. The 1940-158 ones go into a jar. Next week I'm going to do 10 boxes if the box of halves is a skunk. - coincrazed

Nice ! I found one in the junk my mom left also, but it had some scotch tape on it ? Guess that ruined that one ?

1909 vdb in that condition found in circulation is an amazing find. What are the odds of that?

Try an acetone dip, might remove the tape residue.
