Oh, I just re-read your post. 3000 new since '92. That sound a little more realistic.

Well I just took a quick glance at the rest of my Morgans with a 10x glass. I just can't wait for my VAM book to get here now!! I have several that show clash marks, die cracks, chips, etc. Oh the fun I'll have!!

I generally advise against just giving that link out. The images require a huge amount of bandwidth, which "Ash" Ashmore is paying for out of his own pocket. It's his request that users of the updates compensate Leroy Van Allen for his time spent generating them; there is information regarding how to do so at the site. In return for compensating Mr. Van Allen, you get the pics in hardcopy, anyways, and then you don't have to waste the bandwidth. Further considerations: 1) The Ashmore archive images only show the most obvious features of each VAM, usually in a late die state. They're not much help if you're looking at an early die state coin - only someone who knows can help you then. 2) I don't think as much as 10% of all VAM's carry any added monetary value, which is why I spend half my time looking at Morgans and the other half of my time kicking myself in the butt for paying too much for them.

Bryan, are just 1878s your favorite, or all 78 Morgans, such as 1878S as well?

SuperDave says: quote: Bryan is to 78's like I am to 21's.
Does that mean you're interested in just 21s, or all mints of 21s?
