Hey,
I just bought a 20C coin off ebay for $63. Can you help me grade the coin and approximate the value of it? Did I do ok?
I thought it was VG.

Thank you!

I would say Obverse is VG and Reverse is F. and at VG alone the 2011 Red Book puts this at $120. If it graded G over all... $110.

So a great buy IMO. Thats a great looking 20c Piece. Grats!

Any 20 center is a good buy! They didn't make too many of them, as you know!

Thanks guys! I just got accepted in the honors roll so my parents gave me $70 to work with as a gift. I put a max bid of $70 on this and I won =)

I did not think I would win - I like the coin a great deal though. Thanks for the input

Liberty on the shield is known to strike up weak on this issue. Comparing the coin to photograde.com I think the obverse grades VG10-F-12 and the reverse is VF.

You got a great deal on that coin.

Afcop: actually, the seller was also selling a 1880 (or similar) IHC which I used $3 to buy. $4, so not exactly a footlong subway, but at least A 1/2 foot =).

J_H_S - Thanks! I wish you the best on your sale going on.

AFter I get the coin, I will be sure to post pics! This makes up for a few coins I overpayed on =)

Once you receive it, you should rephotograph it and put it in the BST to sell. I believe that the mods will erase your last post as there is no selling allowed here.

Good buy by the way!
