ANACS is a reputable TPG. Let us know what ANACS thought.

Yeah, I have a couple of coins that I will be submitting to ANACS too for the very same reason Joel. They are one of the best if your coin does have a problem, because they will give it a full details grade/number too. The forum consensus seems to be F-15, but who knows, the graders might be in a good mood and float it up to 20..:-) Overall, I think you have much more to gain by sending it in than you have to lose.

well, against my better judgment shown here in this thread, I decided to put it up on ebay as is... anyone keeping tabs on the auction? Wow.. 2.5 days in and it's already higher than I thought it would go for!

Not sure if I can link to my ebay auctions here.. but very impressed thus far.

I'm pretty sure you're allowed to link.

here's the auction.. same pictures I used here for grading... just not quite as big obviously. The pictures didn't display the details quite as well due to their size being smaller, so I offered if someone was unhappy with the ability to see the details of the coin to send me a message and i'd provide new pictures.

Looks like the dealer did lowball you, you must be happy with the response on ebay!

Looks good! With a key date of that value though, I would have mentioned the scratch that the dealer discussed with you. Even if it's minor. People respect full disclosure.

hmm well my thoughts were that the you can see the scratch in the picture, so if it's going to be bothersome to you personally, you'd probably pick up on it in the picture. I did consider saying something about it in the description, but then I also thought that it might call a bit more attention that was needed to the mark that in my mind wasn't very distracting. And if the buyer is not happy, there are returns available as well.. I hope no one wants a return, because I've never done an ebay return, but I offered it just in case anyways.
