Not being very experienced with bustys, I'd hazard a guess at XF-45, maybe 40 minimum. I have one raw with similar details and toning pattern, but I like yours a bit better. very nice!

Nice looking coin, I'm going to say there is just enough detail to make EF-45. I can't tell the variety because of the slight angle of the pictures.I would like to see a full on shot once you get the coin.

Very cool! Here is mine, and you can see they look pretty similar. Is yours slabbed? It looks to be in some sort of slab(old anacs or ngc). I purchased mine raw as XF-40, though it may be a bit stronger.

There isn't a site that I've found that shows the different varieties for these coin. The best source is the book "United States Early Half Dollars Die Varieties 1794-1836" this book lists all the known varieties and assigns numbers known as Overaton numbers.

Quote: it is slabbed and it is xf details you guys are ridiculous. How are we "ridiculous"? just curious.. Quote: While looking for the different die variation of this coin, I read alot about it being heavily counterfitted how do I verify the slab? What kind of slab is it? ANACS? I'd be quite surprised if it was counterfeit, the coin sure looks genuine to me.

ridiculous in that you are very accurate on grades, but that comes in time I guess. and it is s NGC I compared it to the coin on the sire and it has all the same wear points so I am confident that it is genuine.

That would be a compliment as well. gotcha....I guess I'm not up-to-date on the latest "inverse definition lingo"..lol. I think Michael Jackson started that whole trend initially....."Who's BAD?!"
