Here's my question, in Coin World price guide this coin books for $800+ and Pcgs.com a pcgs coin ms 67 books for $800+. Why isn't their a market for this quarter. I do have a Pcgs d ms pcgs 68 that is worth $4k, I will keep that one, but I have had the ms 67 on ebay for 4 auctions with no bites at a low price of $69 to open. Help me understand coin collectors? I don't know where they get these numbers. I have the latest copy of Coin Values it lists the MS67 at $860. Your coin may sell for $20-$30, that is my guess anyway. I think the most accurate price list/guide will be the grey sheet. I am curious to see what some of the more experienced collectors say.

Since it's a relatively new coin, not a lot of people are interested in buying it. Just like the MS-69 and MS-70 ASE's. Even though it's listed in the PCGS priceguides doesn't mean that people will buy it.

Scoutjim99, no offense taken. See what gets me is a coin dealer has these coins listed for $400/$500 a piece at coin shows, Ngc/$400 Pcgs/$500, but I can't get a watermelon seed for mine. I get frustrated sometimes when there is a value stated in coin price guides, what are other coins in those price guides really worth? I have heard $30/$40 if I am lucky. Coin Guy

If I were you, I'd just sit on those coins for a long time. In a few decades, the value of those coins will potentially go up.

No one is buying them becasue you can still get these quarters in those conditions from circulation and rolls. No one is going to buy it for thousands of dollars when they can find one

The prices listed in the mags and at PCGS relate to the population reports for the number of coins that have been certified at those grades to date.
Collectors know that those are not realistic numbers for these coins.
There are in fact hundreds of thousands of these coins that would grade at that level in the hands of collectors, just not in slabs.
