I'm having a horrible time pinning this one to a specific grade. My camera is terrible and the coin looks better in person--streaks/lines are on the flip plastic and the flash on my camera is making it look a good deal lighter than it actually is. Thanks for all input.

I don't have a lot of experience with these but I would say XF45.

pierrot,

We would be able to grade it more accurately if you took photos of the coin outside of the 2x2.

It looks as though it may have been cleaned but as you say the streaks and lines are on the plastic so its hard to say.

Coin was in a mylar flip when I purchased it and I transferred it to the 2x2 myself. I examined it closely many times over before purchase and there were no hairlines or signs of cleaning whatsoever and, furthermore, is of a natural chocolate-brown color darker than the photo.

The coin is where I can't easily access it right now so I can't provide more images, but I'm confident that nothing is wrong with the surfaces. The combination of the 2x2 and camera flash does this to many of my coins, which is why I provide disclaimers in my original post whenever I know that something is showing up that isn't there.

EF-45. Hairlines are not the only things that matter, the surfaces look original and attractive. Definitely not cleaned in my opinion.

I'm torn between XF-45 and AU-50.
