Does anyone know if any of the world coins minted by the Franklin Mint actually circulated within the respective countries?

Also are there any references available for what countries the Franklin Mint produced coins?

Thanks -- Terrell

The Franklin mint produced a number of coins under the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) coin plan. Although the majority were commemorative coins there were some circulating coins. One that comes to mind is a 10 cent coin for Cook Islands in 1979. I will check my files to see what other coins I can find.

I regularly find circulated examples of the FM Belize coinage from the 1970's.
The Barbados and the Bahamas coins occasionally turn up but I think these most likely from broken up sets. The Guyana, Jamaica and Malta FM issues I've never seen outside sets.
