This is one of those times I wish I never sold something like this.. I still kick myself everytime I look at my coins. Found it in a shop for like 20 dollars about 8 years ago and sold it about 2 years back.. Was looking at old pictures I had and found that I still had pictures of it.

1850 Moffat & Co. $5 - PCGS VF20 I'm still kicking myself over this one. Don't feel bad, just move on.

Remember it well. I was a youngun' and had a 1955 MAJOR double die Lincoln. Paid 23 bucks for it but that was big bucks, considering I made about 50 bucks a week. Held on to it until a smooth talkin coin dealer offered me 60 bucks for it and I couldn't resist.darn.

I'm with you tumbleweed. I haven't sold any yet but that being said, when I find a nice example of a coin that can replace one that I have, I have a hard time makeing the switch.

I had a nice NGC EF40 1909-S Indian that I kind of kick myself for getting rid of. However, I do still have the 1877 Indian!

Quote: I've never sold a coin. I can't bring myself to it. Same here. I avoid upgrading because all of my coins have a sentimental value. On the very rare occasion that I have upgraded something, the previous coin has been moved to a miscellaneous album that I have.

I've sold many lower grade pre-33 gold coins when gold was in the $800-$900 range. I wish I had held onto them...

That would be a great topic! My most memorable would be a Twenty Cent Piece I saw at a coin show two years ago. For some reason, that one will show up in my dreams like the girl that got away.
