Lady at the local mkt. saves me stuff, had this for me today. Looks like the "ATE" in STATES is showing, so I guess it's U.S. She thought it was blank.

That's a Statehood Quarter. I don't know the value, but it's at leat $10...possibly quite a bit more.

Can you post some different pics of the struck area on both sides? Is the one pic showing the ATE on the edge of the coin? I'm having trouble picturing exactly what you have here. I can see it is a blank but the struck area confuses me. It looks like a partial brockage that was then pushed up so you can see the ATE on the edge. More pics would help me on this one.

No, not a quarter. I believe that's part of "WE TRUST" I'm seeing.

That's better. I think this is a dime struck very far off center on the reverse with a brockage just as far off center on the obverse. The struck tab was pushed up at an angle. It also appears to be a dime blank and not a planchet. Very interesting error. Let's see what others say.

Nice to see the coin in comparison to something known. Just shows how looks can be very deceiving when no point of reference is made.

It's definitely a dime.
Rest in Peace

I'm still confused about the side that has the reeding lines on the edge of the strike. That's what makes me think another coin was involved with this side and not a die. It just doesn't look right to me to just be a typical OC.
