looks like a mid vf to me... and I think it's been dipped (as I think others have said they do)

Tend to agree with the others on the cleaning ..... it's the only coin in the lot that stands out as 'bright'.

Looking forward to photos once you have it in hand.

Just got the lot today and I was impressed, I found something I didnt see in there or the pics didnt show clearly enough. There were alot of dateless coins that had mostly S mint marks but heres the keepers

1918 S (looks VF+)
1927 S (has a small nick at the end) g-vg
1917 type 1
1928 D vg
1929 G

Wow, nice! So is that 1918 really an 18-s then? And you found a 27-s too! way to go, must post pics. :-)

Wow - I just looked up there history - so many coin sales (of this variety). I too wonder where they get it from!

I have two SLQ lots from them on the way.....and just rec'd another lot of their Walker halves for $127 - well below melt.

The coin they labeled as unreadable was a 1917 D (obverse) with the 17 clearly visible in AG condition. Hole filler for now.

I resell some, and silver stack some of what I get from them. For my SLQ collection - I'm only 7 coins from completion....and hoping I'll get lucky with a key date in a lot. You never know.
