Help Please - Repunched Mint Mark / RPM ? - DD Or Just PMD 1988 Quarter

Brent Williams Valued Member United States 91 Posts	Posted 05/20/2010 12:13 pm This coin looks to have seen a few vending machines. Seems to me that the MM is either re punched or it is doubled. IN GOD WE TRUST has a lot going on - looks like a lot of PMD but also I see extra thickness (does happen with PMD) and what appears to be extra vertical and horizontal lines. The more I look at it the more I think it is doubbled with a lot of PMD. Please help diagnose Peace Brent Report this Post to the Staff

Brent Williams Valued Member United States 91 Posts	Posted 05/21/2010 11:23 am I can see, now, the Die Deterioration on the motto - with so much damage to the coin, it was hard for me to tell. There is light MD on the rev. but not much. I need to get a better picture of the MM - the coin is in junk condition but would still be interested if it is re punched - I will start a new thread on the MM when I find time to go back over that coin and only if I think it needs further discussion.
