Picked this one up in a BIN - sellers pics were blurry, and the coin was sharper than I thought it'd be. There is certainly some "crust", but I like it.

Thoughts on grade?

VF+, maybe corroded, can't tell. Be careful with that on crusty coins, haha.

Yea id say VF, The obvious wear on the high points are the only thing keeping it from XF. Lots of details on shield, eagle and around the obverse rim. Very nice find! have you tried a warm soap and water soak? May help break up the crud.

Thanks - I may try the soap and water soak. I hate the thought of cleaning coins.....but a little less "crust" on this one without any rubbing would be nice. Looks to me like it may have once been a very strong strike, and the high points wore off evenly across the front and back.
