Went to the flea market today and found a few error coins. This one is not in the best condition but could not pass it up for $4 bucks.
Is there anything I can do about the black spots or is it

I don't think acetone will work but Bad Thad has a product called Verdi-Care see link http://www.wizardcoinsupply.com/pro...aning-coins/ that should work. He also has one called Verdi-Gone. I think there is a discount for CCF members.

I would leave it as it is. Taking off verdigris could remove the surface of the coin. The end result may be worse than the leaving it alone.
