i just finished going througe three rolls (150) 1957D Lincoln's. there were 67, various combinations of filled "9", "5", "B" and "BIE" errors. I knew these were common - in the 50's. but 67/150 seems a bit on the high side of common. just my observation.

When dies are over used, they fall apart quick and still get used more. We expect perfection. They just want to make as many coins they can from the dies they have. Did you find some RPMs also. You might check out coppercoins.com/ to see if you missed any of the ones for that year. Varieties are listed there:

Your high instance of these minor imperfections show how common they are and consequently how valueless they are. They are a simple, accepted part of the minting process and are not really considered errors because the Mint would let them out knowing about them.
