1982-D-Quarter-On-Undersize-Planchet-Or-Phony?

I am not sure what this is. It is 24.1mm in diameter, 1.6mm thick, and weighs 5.07 grams. There seems to be a trace of reeding on most of the edge. The planchet is not sandwich. This "thing" is magnetic.

It is very close to the weight of a US nickel but our nickel is not magnetic.

Any thoughts or ideas on this?

Thanks in advance.

One thing that jumped out at me right off the bat is how the branches do not overlap the wings like they're supposed to.

And the 9 looks like a 0, and the arrow the eagle is suppose to be holding doesn't look like like an arrow. Some sort of fake?

This guy is just wrong all around. The wings have actually been indented to allow for the branches - LOL! Didn't notice that before, just that they didn't overlap. AND magnetic?

Wow, a 928 yr. old steel quarter.
Minter must of been a mystic. He foresaw George
Washington in the future. Put it up on ebay.
10 G's is a good start bid.

Just a metallic repro. Good convo piece anyway.

That eagle head looks like a turkey buzzard. I wonder if it's from a set of fake kid's play money.

That is quite possibly the worst forgery yet! Everything including the size and weight and metal is wrong! At least they got the spelling correct. What is with the Chicken? Is it part moth? looks like it has extra wings! Excellent novelty!

I agree. Sand cast probably from a plastic kids coin that they removed the copy from the reverse.

I'm not sure why that exists, nor am I sure how it was made - but I can tell for sure that it's fake....counterfeit. There's nothing at all right about the design.
