sigh. I suggest that some of the recent posters might find it more profitable to actually read what I'd written, rather than try out their insults. There is some good advice in this thread though - particularly about telling fakes using specific gravity.
I'd also suggest being a little careful what you write when claiming sellers do this or that, libel laws are slowly catching up with the internet.

ÄndG, I watched a reknowned ebay seller for over 6 months Shilling every auction he ever listed and he ripped People for £1000s . It took a while to convince people of my findings, These included his buyers and even Peter1234, but when I produced a list of his dealings People were genuinely shocked. Soon after News spread like wildfire on variious forums which he then threatened with legal action if the did'nt Remove the posts, yet all through that Time he Never once threatened me, why? Well because he knew I had the Juice on him. Now the ebay seller is now selling Junk on his wifes ebay name. There is now another ebay seller who Sells only Gold sovs etc and found him Shilling about 17 of his own auctions. I counted the total of just 5 of those auctions and the total was over £5500 alone. I Posten my findings on predecimal and an hour later he pulled all his auctions. Guilt obviously. It seems though that you seem to think that its ok for people to get ripped for a Lot of cash from sellers like these, unfortunately I cannot Sit. There and watch People getting ripped off by sellers like those that i"ve described .

>> Now the ebay seller is now selling Junk on his wifes [sic] ebay name The trouble I have is that had you done things a little differently he might not now be back. There are more effective ways of bringing the bad sellers criminal activities to account, I do agree however that if you find a fake coin for sale then the more people you tell the better so a thread such as this one has it's uses - but you have to be 100% sure. So far in this thread people have only "bet" that a coin is fake - well, that's not good enough. If there is better evidence out there then post it here so that we can see it too, god forbid - we might even be able to help. I know of at least one thread discussing this seller on here recently, but about entirely different fakes (yes, the poster was able to tell us how you could tell they were fakes.) @Peter1234 If calling me "roy" and thus associating me with the alleged goings on in this thread is not an insult then I don't know what is. As for my issue with this thread, it is that I have (so far) been the only person to suggest a credible approach as to what the owner of this coin can do - which (if the allegations are proven) would result in the seller both stopping sales of these coins and may even result in the buyer getting his money back. All I get for my trouble is little pearls of wisdom such as - "Don't send a coin to be authenticated as NGC once authenticated a pewter one" "Don't send a coin which might be fake to be authenticated as if it is a fake you won't get your money back. It is better not to know" "trading standards are as useful as an ashtray on a motorcycle, so don't bother telling them anything about it because it's your problem not the sellers" "Since you bought this coin there is nothing you can do now (CAVEAT EMPTOR)" "there are lots of fakes in China" ....

Another insult - yet you still have not posted an alternative or produced evidence why this coin is a fake.. despite being asked several times. And yet you call me the muppet?
If only your expertise in the subject were as good as your insulting skills. Then I guess we might be in with a chance.

By posting what exactly is wrong with the coin would only help the counterfeiter hone the coin, so it would be a bit silly for it to be posted on a forum for the fakers to also suss it out. Hopefully you can study both coins and work it out as we've had to do, which took some time.

hi all...my first post here. i have discussed with roydinsdale along with azda over the last week the subject of his fake coins. if we leave the point for the moment that he may have been selling these knowingly and just look at a few things in the cold light of day.
Firstly any bona fida dealer may have become suspicious of the number of 1847 crowns and vicky florins all with the same date and die number being offered to him for sale. but to have been selling these items for several years including to the OP would suggest a less than diligent seller.
With azda's and my own and a few other from predecimal.com messages to him in regard to his material being fake, he has written a statement to azda and myself explaining that he is concerned at the findings of selling fake material and because he is such a good meaning fellow has subsequently removed all fake items from his listings. he is so concerned....he is waiting for all those he has sold to, to write and request a refund in full. I cant help feeling that he should be writting to them himself.....including the OP.......advising them of their ownership of a fake and that a refund can be obtained in full.
Roydinsdale has admitted his material was fake and has removed it from stock lists on the bay......regardless of the views and differences of opinion between the posters here in this debate.....that admission should be enough for the OP to write and get his money back.........
now getting back to the question of was he selling fakes knowingly......thats for a higher authority to decide....

Lets hope the higher authority of "peers" decides correctly - I for one, in my very short time of buying coins, have been shocked at the number of "fakes" out there - maybe I should have just stuck to my Great Grandfathers big bag of "real" "used" coins.

First I would like to say English is not my mother tongue so some short forms present in this forum will make me difficult to understand. For example, can you tell the meaning of 'OP'? ski. Quote: Roydinsdale has admitted his material was fake... ski, you and some other member had discussed with roydinsdale about the selling of counterfeits, it is good to him to admit the situation and he also intends to refund those he sold fake. Then did you ask the sources of these fakes and which kinds of coins are fake? Members in the forum would like to know that, I am sure. From another forum "World Coins and Commemorative", I heard from some members warned about his selling of Pillars 8R. This means he had sold fakes for at least a certain period of time. My final question: did he sell fakes delibrately or he was unable to distingush the fakes from real? Henry
