Hopefully the pics will be good enough, I am still working on my picture taking skills!

Thank You

It appears authentic and it grades G4, but this is the wrong forum for this post, to be quite onest. This forum is for varieties and errors. This topic should be moved to "modern US grading"

Thanks coppercoins, I see that I posted in the wrong forum. Is there a way that I can get this moved
to the correct forum?

That is what happens when I don't pay attention and get in a hurry!

Thanks for all the responses. I just picked this up at a local auction for $72 and was hoping it was an
OK deal.

Everything looks right in the photo...this still doesn't mean that the coin is definitely genuine. It is either genuine or it is counterfeit. It's very likely NOT an altered coin (like a 1914 with an added mintmark, etc). The mintmark is in the right position and everything points to it having been there when the coin was minted.

All that having been said, the only way to determine for sure whether it is genuine is to have it examined by an expert through certification or another means.
